Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated systems and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software components used in automation processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and a passion for technology and innovation.

· In-depth knowledge of electrical principles, construction, and wiring schematics
· Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other safety standards

· Design, assemble, install, and maintain automation systems, instrumentation wiring, and equipment using computer software and tools.
· Execute software configurations and programming to plan, design, and install wired and wireless custom automation solutions.
· Plan and implement radio and cellular communications to new sites.
· Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify systems and components to full-service capacity.
· Diagnose routine and non-routine equipment malfunction by observing operation, listening, and using diagnostic equipment to locate causes of a breakdown; Correct the problem and implement improvements as needed from any lessons learned.
· Leads compliance with OSHA and other applicable standards
· Ability to overcome obstacles utilizing problem solving skills.
· Ability to work in all conditions inside and outside for extended periods of time.
· Ability to perform the necessary physical aspects of the job.
· Ability to adapt performance based on feedback provided from peers, crew leaders, and management.
· Adhere to NEC Code guidelines and additional safety rules and guidelines established by Houston Electric Inc. and its customers.
· Ability to perform additional duties as required.
· Ability to participate in our on call rotation is mandatory. You will be on call for 1 week every 8-10 weeks to respond to after hours emergency calls.
· Ability to pass pre-employment and on going random drug screens.
· Ability to work overtime as job needs dictate.

Competitive Pay
Pay is determined by previous experience.
Hourly Pay Range: $29.00 – $36.00
Salary Pay Range: $60,320.00 – $74,880.00
