Job Description
PLC Programmers design, maintain, and troubleshoot machines and plants that use programmable logic controllers. The PLC Programmer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the process. The PLC Programmer must be able to design control systems, write logic, meet project timelines, develop testing routines, and commission devices.

· In-depth knowledge of electrical principles, construction, and wiring schematics
· Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other safety standards

· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Ability to act on the instructions from a supervisor and work well alone or as members of a team.
· Interprets technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems
· Interprets P&ID drawings to determine the proper sequence and equipment operations.
· Diagnoses and troubleshoots faulty wiring
· Experince with Allen Bradley, Siemens, and IDEC plcs.
· Leads compliance with OSHA and other applicable standards
· Checks for and deploy upgrades of electrical components
· Ability to overcome obstacles utilizing problem solving skills.
· Ability to work in all conditions inside and outside for extended periods of time.
· Ability to perform the necessary physical aspects of the job.
· Ability to adapt performance based on feedback provided from peers, crew leaders, and management.
· Adhere to NEC Code guidelines and additional safety rules and guidelines established by Houston Electric Inc. and its customers.
· Ability to perform additional duties as required.
· Ability to participate in our on call rotation is mandatory.
· Ability to pass pre-employment and on going random drug screens.
· Ability to work overtime as job needs dictate.

Competitive Pay
Pay is determined by previous experience.
Hourly Pay Range: $29.00 – $36.00
Salary Pay Range: $60,320.00 – $74,880.00
