HEI is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Electrical Apprentices!
This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career in the electrical trade and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and growing company serving the residential, commercial, industrial, and oil and gas sectors. As an Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced Journeyman Electricians, learning the essential skills and knowledge needed to become a licensed electrician. You will contribute to the design, installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, including data and telecommunications wiring.
What You'll Be Doing:
Assisting Journeyman Electricians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential, commercial, industrial, and oil & gas settings.
Learning and applying the National Electrical Code (NEC) and HEI safety guidelines to ensure safe and compliant work practices.
Installing various electrical components, including wiring, conduit, and fixtures.
Operating equipment such as backhoes, digger trucks, bucket trucks, and track hoes (training provided as needed).
Interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
Developing your skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving related to electrical systems.
Actively participating in on-the-job training and classroom instruction to advance your electrical knowledge and skills.
Periodically participating in an on-call rotations to respond to after-hours emergency calls.

Ideal Candidates Will Possess:
A High School diploma, or equivalent training/experience. Additional education or vocational training in the construction or electrical trade is a plus.

Electrical Aptitude: A natural ability to understand and work with electrical systems, including basic knowledge of electrical circuits and components.

Physical Stamina: The ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including working outdoors in various conditions and lifting heavy materials.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing work environments.
A valid Driver's License: For reliable transportation to job sites.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
